Halloween is quickly rolling around the corner, and it’s time to add a little ‘seasonal cheer’ to your wardrobe. Witches, fairies and zombies have been done to death with Halloweens past, especially when people have become quite desensitized to all the standard Halloween fare that gets thrown their way every single day. This is where a scary clown costume comes in to liven up the party, albeit not in the way you’d normally imagine clowns to do it.
Forget the cheesy tags from the old Batman universe, The Joker from the Dark Knight is the very definition of an evil clown. A little humor, a couple chuckles here and there and a whole boatload of psychosis defines the Joker as one of the scariest clowns out there. Too bad Keifer Sutherland died, but his legacy as the scariest Joker of all time will be here to stay.

If you want to go for a little less psychosis, and old-school appeals to you, then an evil jester costume might be just right for your persona. Don’t let the generic name fool you, especially when you’ve got a giggling, skull-faced jester tapping you from behind with a bony finger.
Nothing sends a chill up a person’s spine like a little grotesque deformity, and the Giggles costume offers plenty of that. A wicked smile with two huge, lumpy hands ought to do the trick. The oversized head and really creepy eyes are in themselves disturbingly creepy enough to unnerve people when you first look at them. Simply give those you care for a nice, loving hug, and be prepared to scare the brains out of your hapless victims.
You might have a nifty costume or two lying about in your basement, but they don’t quite fit into the bill of a psychotic and deranged clown just yet. A Zipper the Clown costume will do the trick nicely, with a very nice smile and a ‘happy’ expression staring into the faces of your guests. A zipper running through the middle of your face may not sound like the scariest thing in the world, but the overall creepy effect does add up when you know how to play your cards right.

Kids have the right to have fun with Halloween too, and nothing makes people scream like a screamer costume. You can have the little tyke run around and scream too, but being properly dressed for the occasion ups the fear factor by a few notches. Don’t turn that frown upside down – just toss in some psychosis for the perfect Halloween results!
Just before Halloween comes rolling around in a few short weeks, consider your options carefully. If you want to dress up in the usual fare, fine.
